Auana plays in a 784-seat theater with a thrust stage and the audience on three sides, so the usual rule of "closer is better" does not quite hold. Here is how the seat tiers work, where reviewers say to sit, and what each tier costs.
- Front Row: Row A, wrapped around the stage
- Premier & Preferred: Rows B and C, right behind the front row
- Golden Circle: Best available seats in the center section
- Category 1 & 2: Side and upper sections with a full view
- Category 3 & 4: Outer and top rows, the cheapest seats

How the tiers work
From the stage outwards: Front Row is row A, wrapped right around the stage. Premier and Preferred share rows B and C of the lower sections, just behind it. Golden Circle is the best available block in the center section, facing the stage head-on. Category 1 and 2 fill the side and upper sections, and Category 3 and 4 the outer and top rows. At the box office Front Row runs about $255, Premier and Preferred about $170, Golden Circle about $150 and the Category seats from $69 plus fees. Why the front is not always best
Several acts happen in the air above the audience, and some performers end up above or behind the front rows. One reviewer in row 5 only realized there were performers hanging from the ceiling when the people behind her started cheering; another warns that from the first rows "you will have to try and look up". The front is still the place to be if you want to see faces, costumes and sweat up close, and the cast plays to those rows. For a first visit, though, most people are happier a little further back.

Best overall: Golden Circle, or any center seat from about row 5 back. You face the stage straight on and can take in the aerial acts without turning around. Best value: the upper 200 sections. "Seats in the 200s are better than 100s," one reviewer wrote, and they cost the least. Best for kids: an aisle seat in a side section, easy to slip out of if needed. For superfans: Front Row, ideally on a second visit. Wherever you land, remember the room is small: another reviewer said there was "not a bad seat anywhere".
